東北日本の粘弾性構造を提唱した論文がGeophys. Res. Lett. に受理されました。東北沖地震後の余効変動解析に向けた不均質粘弾性モデルの提唱です。

Res. Lett. In this paper, we proposed a detailed rheological structure to evaluate viscoelastic relaxation in the post-seismic deformation of the 2011 Tohoku Oki Earthquake.

ガス圧試験機の高温・高間隙圧制御を学ぶために、産総研 活断層・地震研究センター 地震素過程研究チームにて高橋さんに教えてもらってます。目指すは国内最高1200°C！できるかな？？
4月から下記の所属になりました。今後共よろしくお願いいたします。
Frontier Research Institute for Interdisciplinary Sciences (FRIS), Tohoku University
日本学術振興会海外特別研究員の受入をしてくれたBrown大学のJan Tullis教授が今年の夏に公式に退官されるそうです。またこれまで40年以上！の教授の学部教育や学生サポートに対して、表彰するとのこと。そういえばセメスター中は、学生がひっきりなしに研究室を訪れ、相談に乗っていたなあと思い出します。これからはJanの名前を冠した学部学生への奨学金も作成されるそうです（すごい！）。
退官後も学生のサポートは続けていくとのことですが、ちょっと残念です。これまで本当にお疲れ様でした。
Congrats Jan!Brown Geology’s website says that Prof. Jan Tullis will be formally retiring at the end of the 2012-2013 academic year. She was my post-doc supervisor when I was in Brown. On June 15, undergraduate alumni, department faculty and current undergraduate and graduate students are coming together to honor Jan’s outstanding work as an educator and mentor since she came to Brown in 1970!
